Dear Parents
“Happy New Year!” to you all we hope you had a lovely Christmas- thank you for all your gifts and kind thoughts they were all very much appreciated!
We would like to welcome all the new children and parents and hope you all enjoy your time at
The Learning Tree- can you as always take a few minutes to take a look at the table as you enter/leave pre-school as we often have items to read or information to give out and this always seems the best way to convey it!
We sometimes have books for sale via the book clubs and we gain books as commission from all your orders- if possible could we have any money when orders are placed as when we have a few clubs at the same time it gets a bit confusing!
Also on the table are our Policies & Procedures these are vital to our running so if you are unsure of anything please ask- this year we are due an Ofsted inspection and we will keep you posted as soon as we hear something it should take place at the same time as the schools?
As you may not all be aware we do not operate a key worker system at The Learning Tree as we are such a small setting and we both feel that we know our children very well-we always encourage you to chat to either one of us with any queries or concerns you may have regarding your child we want them to be above all happy and comfortable during their time with us.
Just a quick reminder of our start & finish times (9-11.30 & 12.30-3.00) as time is precious and we try to fit as much as we can into 2 ½ hours it is vital that we start promptly. If for any reason you will either be late collecting your child or if anyone other than the people named on the “Getting to know you” form will be collecting them can you please ring us (07712 565704) as soon as you can this is to safeguard any worries!
Hopefully you will all have had a Nursery/home links book this is a good link between you/your child/ourselves please hand them to us at the start of the session so we can read any news & stamp your child’s book if anyone needs a replacement we have plenty! Also we are starting a library scheme whereby your child may bring a book home from a selection and you can use the links book as a way of recording if they enjoyed the story you shared (your child does not need to be able to read- this will all come when they get to “Big School!”).
Themes this half term’s theme will be “Getting to know us” and “Story time”
